Almond Banana Milkshake Recipe – Quick & Easy
I always make an almond banana milkshake when I make almond butter. It’s as simple as making any other smoothie or milkshake.
Oh, and for the record, this recipe calls for almond butter rather than almond milk.
Adding almond milk, on the other hand, would be a great idea and something I should try next time.
Let’s get this party started, in any case!
What is the Almond Banana Milkshake Recipe?
To begin, pour the milk into the blender. Then, in a separate bowl, add the remaining ingredients: banana, almond butter, ice cream (if desired), and ice.
Cover the bowl and blend on high for 1 minute.
If you use a Vitamix Blender, this process will take less than a minute and produce an extremely smooth consistency.
Recommendations
The almond banana milkshake is an excellent recipe to try after making almond butter. When it comes to clean up, this is especially true. Removing all of the nut butter, even with an under-blade scraper, can take a long time.
It would also be a waste to leave it alone and merely wash it.
As a result, why don’t you just blend it into a smoothie or milkshake? Because of Vitamix’s power, it can remove and blend any stubborn residue from beneath the blades (to some extent).
It will be much easier to clean up, and there will be significantly less rubbish as a result!
You can, of course, make your own version. Perhaps a few different types of fruit? I also have a recipe for a cantaloupe almond milkshake if you’re interested.
Substitutions
Vanilla ice cream is optional due to its high sugar content. You can replace the ice cream with one teaspoon of vanilla extract or leave it out entirely. Don’t worry; thanks to the natural sweetness of bananas, the almond banana milkshake will still be delicious.
If you’re using frozen bananas, you may also skip the ice.
